Some people have been asking me why it's a bad thing why the source code for Half Life 2 was stolen. This should be obvious to anyone who's played the original but sometimes it can make it fun - like this cool little flash game - Camper-Strike .

IgNobel
You've heard of the Nobel Prize, well, here's the IgNobels, a real event, set up as a spoof of the original to "recognise achievements which cannot, or should not, be reproduced", according to the BBC. My favourite winners are the Stockholm University team who wrote a paper on why "Chickens Prefer Beautiful Humans.

Halflife2 Source code leaked - l4m3r5 need sh00ting
This could tunr out to be one of the worst pieces of news for the gaming community but a large chunk of the source code for Half-life2 has been leaked. Perhaps Leaked isn't the right word as Gabe (head-codemonkey of HalfLife) thinks he was maliciously hacked. Although the released code isn't complete, it is enough for people to start creating hacks & cheats before the game is even released.

I know there are still 28 days to go, but its October, and that means I'm already in the Halloween spirit. This looks to good to be a hoax (but you can never tell these days). 911survivor is a mod for Unreal which seems to pitch you into the WTC from where you have to escape. Sick and Tasteless (but the screenshots do look good I must admit)

Css Layout-o-matic
If I ever get round to re-designing this site (any offers welcome) then I might finally get round to doing a 3 column version instead of the current 2 column version you see here. Layout-o-matic is a CSS layout-maker which takes the pain out of making cross-browser compatible layouts.
