Went out last night to a club in Leeds for an old friend's wedding bash (congrats Youngy!) and saw RoboChrist. This guy was superb - a one man industrial cheese-monger. He stood on stage alone except for a guitar, his backing tape and a face full of paint and blew everyone there away with his thrashy noise interspersed with a genius use of samples - Ministry never sounded this good (but then they didn't have Johnny Vegas, Grange Hill and Count Duckula samples!). If you get the opportunity to see him then I guarantee that you won't fail to be entertained by him. Definitely a star in the making.

Yesterday's Monaco F1 Grand Prix was a fantastic race for many, many reasons (mostly involving the fact the Schumacher didn't win!). One news story that didn't appear until after the race was that the diamonds in the front of the Jaguar cars that were implanted to advertise the new Ocean's Twelve movie were actually real diamonds worth about £200k each. Apparently, after Christian Klein crashed early in the race - the diamond on his car went missing. Perhaps the plot for Ocean's 13 might have just written itself.

I'm not a fan of any of the whole trading card thing - like Dungeons and Dragons before it, it seemed like too much of like hard work doing maths to try to win a game that only exists in your head and that you seem to have to make up as you go along (sorry if I'm offending any nerds here). I did, however, manage to waste about half an hour tomight playing Inuyasha Demon which I assume is based on a cartoon of a trading card of a game of an animated manga film of a comic book or something.
