eBay - Your Very Own Imaginary GIRLFRIEND
eBay wierdness always seems to come in batches and today is no different. How about your very own, Imaginary Online girlfriend.
Me First and the Gimme Gimmes
Today, I've mostly been listening to Me First and the Gimme Gimmes. You too, can listen to them and watch their superb punk cover version of R Kelly's I Believe I can Fly (RealPlayer needed).
MyTunes - PC users take note
If you're using iTunes on your PC then you will probably need a copy ofMyTunes to make it work properly (ie: save shared files to your hard drive). Or use a proper mp3 player.
Toronto Airport gags urinal.net
Sometimes censorship makes a farce ou tof a situation. I'm won't go into the full details of the story since Techdirt have a much more concise description of the amusing tale of Toronto Airport ordering Urinal.net from mentioning their name, or any part of their name (ie: the words 'Toronto' and 'airport'!)
Jet Powered Milk Float
Superb item on eBay (why do I only ever see these auctions once they've finished?) - this mad item is a Jet Powered Milk Float. Can't quite work out how he'll deliver it for only a few pounds postage though.

Catapult game
I just spent far too long playing this medieval catapult game.
Fish 'farts': a followup
Following on from yesterday's chuffing beetle story, news has reached grom-ville of a study that suggests that Fish 'farts' might be a form of communication. (I must use that excuse myself, although the only message I could hope to communicate would probably be telling people what I ate last night!)
Tour Penn Jillette's house
Wish I'd seen this auction earlier - not that I could've afforded it but I'd love to get a guided tour round Penn (from Penn & Teller)'s house.
Siegfreid and Roy tiger attack footage
Most people will have heard about Roy Horn (of camp magic duo Siegfreid and Roy) being attacked by one of their famous tigers. I can exclusively reveal footage of the attack. Somehow, it's not quite what I expected.
Teachers have changed since my day!
I like to think that I had a decent reputation but I certainly didn't have a teacher like this!
*Update: Here's her mugshot and police report on the incident.

Spun - the best movie ever?
Ok, the title's a bit over the top - this movie certainly ain't for everyone but I've gotta tell people about it since it's my cousins movie. Spun has the most outstanding cast list and acting I've seen for a long, long time. Check this out; Mickey Rourke (on top form), Brittany Murphy, Mena Suvari, Patrick Fugit, Debbie Harry, Eric Roberts, John Leguizamo, Alexis Arquette, Chloe Hunter, Ron Jeremy (!) and even Rob Halford (from Judas Priest). Phew!
Imagine the Smack My Bitch Up video (same crew as this film) mixed with Pulp Fiction, Fear and Loathing & Trainspotting and you may start to imagine how insane it is. It's not comfortable viewing though - it contains strippers, drugs and loud music (best bit of the beyond-cool soundtrack is Billy Corgan (ex-Smashing Pumpkins singer) doing a slow, almost acoustic version of Iron Maiden's 'Number of the Beast'.
The film's original release was screwed by the aftermath of Sept 11th 2001 and it's only had limited release in the USA but the UK Premiere is on Nov 26th. I've seen it and can safely say, if you're on this site reading this then you're the type of person who'll probably like the movie go watch it.
Deliverance's Banjo Boy
If you've seen the film 'Deliverance' then you'll know that the first thing that pops into your head when you think of the film is the banjo music. Tim Burton paid the Banjo Boy back in his latest film by tracking him down and giving him a cameo in his next film. Had a hard job tracking him down though.
Goth Dolls
Weird-ass Goth Dolls. Also available - pr0n star dolls which are quite disturbing I reckon, but the ugly dolls are quite cute - I might buy one for the imminent grom-sprog.
Donna Air to hand her baby over to a gorilla
Donna Air (a minor UK tv celeb for you non-Brit readers) is apparently going dump her new-born baby in a gorilla enclosure.
Must save on babysitting costs!
'Farting' Beetle Found
The BBC are reporting that a rare 'Windy' beetle has been found at a nature reserve in Wales. Anyone else find it suspicious that it was found near a power station (just wait until we're invaded by mutated guffing insects!)
Mom Finds Out About Blog
Brilliant article from the Onion - Mom Finds Out About Blog. Now you know why I only post links! I dread the day my mum finds this site!
Toy Presidents
Anyone wanna George W. Bush talking action doll. It probably makes more sense than the real one and you won't get arrested for setting fire to it.
Move over Segway
Would you like a self-balancing, ecofriendly, personal transportation vehicle?
One that has a bit more style and flare than the Segway?

The people who bring you the ski-doo, now bring you the Bombardier EMBRIO.

Less nerdy looking, less polluting and less wheels than the Segway.

OK it's still a concept vehicle, but what a concept!
Gore Minefield game
Check out this gory version of the classic Minesweeper game - use your kittens wisely.
Die in Style - a Stickman animation
Nicked this link from Funjunkie but it's too good not to share - Die in Style is a stickman animation that kept me watching right to the end. The Out-takes actually made me laugh out loud but watch the other bits first.

Night views of Japan
Here are some beautiful night-time panoramas of Japan. (Just click on a spot on the map to see)
New York Public Internet Access
Some day every city will have free, publically accessible wireless internet access with coverage as good as New York. Makes me want to move over there with a laptop and wifi card.

Big list of cool 'Generators'
Brad of in4mador and StripCreator fame, has put together a great list of generators - webpages that will create things for you simply by plugging in some basic information. There are speech generators if you want to talk like Stephen Hawking, love heart generators if you want to express your love to someone, or church sign generators if you want to publically proclaim that your workmate blows goats.
Google Deskbar
The latest new feature from Google is the Google Deskbar - now you don't even need your browser open to access your favourite search engine. It's even better if you use the define: functions (like a dictionary) or the calculator function.
I've not installed it yet but I gather that there is a watermark over the results page in theis version - you can get rid of it with the rar file from this page apparently.
Nohands the Kitten
If you spend any length of time on the net then you'll have come across Nohands the kitten. I even have a shot of him being held up at gunpoint on my phone. There's now an Unofficial Nohands Gallery! and more than one site that has tried to track down the original nohands.
How to grope in public
Get a load of this cheeky chap having a quick grope while no-one's looking!
Japanese Girl in Special Situation
Got sent this at work today - Japanese Girl in Special Situation. I'm not going to ask how my colleague ended up on that page or why it was posted in the first place but it does seem genuine (and quite scary).
Salmon Days are free!
If you ever visit tech news site The Register then you will be aware of the classic regular feature the BOFH. A couple of years ago they started a video version of the BOFH called salmondays which at the time was a pay-per-view site but many of you will have seen the freebie they used to advertise the site - Clippy the Paper Clip.
The good news is, the whole site is now free! so go get downloading.
(cheers Chris)

The Ultimate Case Mod?
I reckon that this arcade case is pretty much the ultimate pc case mod (short of embedding the pc inside a human body) although it certainly ain't the small concise mod that we normally post up here. It's a MAME box with a rotatable joystick panel for added authenticity when playing Tron, Pacman, Missile Command etc (each of which used a different assortment of trackball, joystick, triggerstick etc). Very nice work indeed - full plans available if you have a few hundred pounds spare.
