Online Conkers!
This is brilliant! An online
conker simulator. Top game and nicely programmed. Now, where's the multiplayer option?

BBC Model B Emulator with Frak!
My childhood entry into geekdom was courtesy of a ZX81 computer which I rapidly outgrew only for it to be replaced by my favourite, the BBC Model 'B'. I've just been sent a link to a
BBC Model B Emulator which I had before but now it also includes such classic games as Frak, Chuckie Egg, Danger! UXB, Escape from Moonbase Alpha, Daredevil Dennis and Hunchback.
That's my weekend sorted then.
Butt Hole Road
Well, you'd have thought that they noticed the name of the road they were
moving into before they got there.
Doorsteps - an animation
Lovely fat stickmen video for some song I've never heard before by a band called
LODGER. Congrats to Hannes Häyhä for the work on this.
Jesus struck by lightning
Divine retribution or just really sucky luck? The bloke playing Jesus in Mel Gibson's ego-flick, The Passion of Christ has been
struck down by lightning.

The Barefoot Doctor legs it
The Barefoot Doctor is an 'alternative healer and therapist' who appears regularly in the UK press and on daytime tv as an 'expert' in his field. Obviously people relish getting advice from him but then again, most of the callers are carefully vetted by the tv programs before they get let on air. No so with a live web chat. On his recent chat, the barefoot doctor was called on to defend his
barefaced cheek and his lack of medical knowledge. It makes for some damn funny reading.
Otto the Bus Driver
Leaving the petrol station last night, I skidded my car on a patch oil on the road. I shat myself breifly but luckily I escaped better than
these kids. (direct link to mpg video)
Singingfish - Audio and Video finder
Here's another handy resource to bookmark -
Singingfish is a search engine specifically for finding audio and video. Now, don't get your hopes up about any dodgy filesharing stuff here, from my testing it seems most useful for tracking down movie trailers or pop videos but so far it seems very good at doing just that, I tested it on some fairly obscure music videos and it found about 3 out of 4 so not bad at all.
Star Wars: Clone Wars - the Micro Series
To quote directly from a workmate;
...startin' on the Cartoon Network on 7th November -
Star Wars: Clone Wars
Ordinarily, a bunch of late 20s and early 30s male men enjoying a juvenile cartoon would be a sad manifestation of the trend towards infantilisation of Western Society.
But FCUK it man, this is STAR WARS!!!!!

Outside the Inbox - Spam Songs
A novel idea of uses for spam here.
Outside the Inbox is an album's worth of tunes by various artists who were all asked to pick a piece of spam from their email inbox and write a song about it. The whole album is available as 128K mp3s from the site. I'm d/loading it now so can't tell you what it's like yet but I am hopeful...
So, so wrong
I might love my cats but there's something plain wrong with
marryyourpet.com.
On the plus side though, it's a darn site cheaper than marrying a human, and you get a teeshirt.
Unfortunately named people pt.7
The latest unfortunately named person we've found on the web is...
Willie Stroker.
Shame on his parents.
XP alternative Wallpapers
Those delightful Something Awful.com goons have remade those boring
wallpapers for your desktop that come with XP. I think
this is a much more realistic image to have on my screen - it's what's on it most of the time anyway!
Oxo Tower Review
Read the first
review for this restaurant. It's a classic!

Foolish powder, Galloping horse and Reindeer dust
I found this Whitehouse website funny - just check out the
Street Terms they list for drugs. Like, wow, groovy man.
Earn money fragging
I've finally found a way to support my wife and (future) child -
gambling on computer games! The best bit for me is that they use all the games that i o\/\/|\| j00 @ l4m3r.
Pushing Prohibition
Pushing Prohibition - the wacky world of
anti-alcohol art. Courtesy of Modern Drunkard
magazine.
You are all perverts.
A new report from Thames Valley Police seems to have been sponsored by the Dept for Mind-numbingly obvious research. They've discovered that the majority of online pervs are
white and male. Much like the majority of people in this country. Bravo on that research you idiots. Next week, results on the 'ethnic minorities are just as perverted but have the brains to hide it better" study.
Bizarre Records
From this collection of
Bizarre Records, I've got to point out some classics such as
Devastatin' Dave - the Turntable Slave (you can even listen to his amazing lyrics) or the
Lesbian Concentrate album.

'Nothing blows up!'
Take a bunch of little kids (ages 9-12) and give them a load of the computer games that I played when I was 'around' their age. Watch the
Kids Play and listen to their comments (and laugh at the footnote that says;
"
Note: Everything written here was actually said by these kids. Really. The only change we made was to remove the more gratuitous usages of the word "gay".")
Winamp 5 Beta leaked
With timing that's clearly intended to shut up all the iTunes bores a
ieXbeta Board -> Winamp 5 Betatest has been leaked onto the net. If it fulfills the promise that winamp 3 showed but still giving the performance of of Winamp2 then they could be onto a winner. Besides, who wants to use a ported Apple product on a pc, you might as well start using one-button mice again. iTunes? Pah! Get using Winamp5 , you know you want to.

Banksy gets hanged
Old gromblog favourite
Banksy the subversive grafitti artist has just pulled off his best prank yet. He disguised himself as a pensioner, visited the Tate Gallery in London and
hung a piece of his work up on the wall. It wasn't spotted for a few hours and if the glue hadn't failed to hold it then who knows how long it would have stayed up. The BBC have a picture of the
piece.
Mausland - don't go here unless you have an hour spare!
The Funjunkie guys hit gold when they found
mausland. There's no way of navigating through the site, it seems like pot luck where you end up but there seems to be hundreds of cool games and animations like the
Samba de mausland dance-dance party type of game, the
'press the red button' game or weird
axe-murderer animations. (for a bonus point can someone please put me out of my misery and tell me who sings that song in the cartoon).
