Beastie Boys protest
They've come a long way from the 'Fight for your Right' days - the Beastie Boys have now taken on the Bob Dylan role in this forthcoming war by releasing a protest song called 'In a World Gone Mad' available from their website.
Arctic Blue
Ferry Halim writes the cutest flash games on the web - his latest one is Arctic Blue which, like all his others is very simple but addicitive - one click is all you have to do.
Spun the Movie
My cousin's first major movie is finally getting a release (albeit limited at first) - it's called Spun and has an amazing cast list (Brittany Murphy, Mena Suvari, Mickey Rourke, Ron Jeremy, Patrick Fugit, Crispin Glover, Alexis Arquette, Deborah Harry amongst others). Every review I've seen so far says that it's the film that will resurrect Mickey Rourke's career and judging from the bits that I've seen, they're right. It's not a pleasant movie but should be a big student favourite - think True romance meets the 'Smack my bitch up' video (which was done by the same team).
