Wanna be a sperm?
Not found the point of this one yet but it's was fun to regress to being a sperm for a few seconds.
Lingam Gnosis
Lingam Gnosis - or the Ancient Art of P3nis Reading. Do I need to explain any more or is that already too much information? Just don't ask me if I'm an earth, air, fire or water cock!
PowerSkip
This look so much fun! Powerskip is the latest extreme sport. For the full effect, watch the videos. They're way more impressive than I imagined.
Dancing Glen
Dancing Glen is a simple but effectively silly dancing interactive man.
Rock Paper STRIPPER
Here's a fun version of Paper, scissors, stone called, Rock Paper STRIPPER. It's not a particularly faithful-to-the-original version!
Govn't expected to back down on id cards
Looks like I might get my birthday early this year - The Register have said that there should be an announcement tonight about the UK government backing down on identity cards following the Stand.org.uk & Privacy International aware-raising campaigns that I posted about last week.
A personal thank you to anyone who did send a letter to the House of Commons about this issue.
JBoom's Rizla Machine
JBoom's a B3ta regular - he's developed a customisable Rizla Machine for designing your own rizla packets. Bit too much effort to actually print out and use but full marks for a creative idea.
That Darned Cad!
I'm off to the Jongleurs comedy club in Leeds tonight and one of the guys who's playing is a guy called Jamie Mathieson who has also started to do some little flash animations.
This one, entitled That Darned Cad! is pretty darn good but you'll need headphones for it.
Tempest
Remember the old arcade classic Tempest? Well, here's a cool online version of it. And, damn, it's every bit as frantic & hard as I remember!

Nerdiest...Thing...Ever.
Ok, this is gonna take some beating in the geek stakes - Var'aq is a programming language written in Klingon.
Yup, this is what happens when Poindexters combine their only two hobbies.
Sad, sad, sad, sad, sad, sad, sad. (but funny)
Harry Pothead
The latest people to jump on the Harry Potter bandwagon are drug dealers with their limited edition Harry Potter E's. I guess they'll take you higher than a Nimbus 2000.
Sarah Orange
Blatant Plug alert:
My old housemate Sarah has a new site up. She has loads of photos of her & her Goth buddies on it. Go and sign her guestbook.
If it wasn't for her, I probably wouldn't be married to the missus so she has a lot to answer for!
Rollercoaster game
Cool little Flash Rollercoaster game borught to my attention by Chris.
It's in Finnish but all you need to know that S is used to brake & K is used to accelerate. Sounds simple, right? Erm, no!
365 Days Project
I know that I've blogged this site before (in fact it was only a couple of weeks ago) but this is a reminder that the 365 Days Project run on otisfodder.com has a new mp3 posted everyday for download. There has been some amazingly weird music so far (& from me, that's very weird indeed) - today's is for a song described as like the "b4stard son of the Pearl & Dean theme song" done by the Utica Club Natural Carbonation Band.
Bookmark this site - you'll thank me.
Svenska dansband ist Coolska - ja!
If you want some style tips from those originators of funky fashion - the Swedes then here's a page with some brilliant photos of Swedish pop bands in loon pants & moustaches.
Is that really a young Rolf Harris in a band with Gaz from Supergrass?
Cool T-shirts
In my never ending quest to fill my wardrobe with hundreds of t-shirts but only one pair of trousers, one pair of socks & some pants my mum bought me, I found EGG74 mentioned on a Popbitch newsletter. They do some excellent tees but I'm torn between a Ming the Merciless one, an Oddjob one or the Sackrace one.

Monobrow
Monobrow.com - Celebrating the Unity of Your Eyebrows.
As good a missions statement as you'll find.
For all things caterpillar-like above the eyebrow line.
Subscriptions are finally here!!
Some of the more observant of you may have noticed a "subscribe" box in the right-hand sidebar. I've only had a couple of days testing but so far it looks good. This is the deal;
1. Find the Subscribe box in the right hand bar.
2. Stick in your email address
3. Hit enter.
4. That's it.
5. No, really, it is that easy!

You'll then get a daily email with all that day's posts from the gromblog. It'll save you having to visit the site everyday (but please do anyway). Currently you can only get daily mails (no weekly ones available so be warned - you will get about 300 odd mails a year from me!)
Please give me feedback on this & let me know if it works for you. (P.S. you will need to be able to receive html emails - otherwise what's the point?)
Oh yeah, please tell your friends to sign up as well. Ta.

Chick Rock
Following my earlier Iron Maidens link, extensive research has enabled me to bring you
Cheap Chick - The World's only ALL GIRL Cheap Trick tribute band! (hardly surprising)
Whole Lotta Rosies - an all-girl AC/DC tribute band
& finally, Exit - a female U2 tribute band.
Anyone got any more?
Robbie likes pirates
Startlingly enough Robbie williams has recently been quoted as saying Music piracy is 'great'. I wouldn't go that far but it's big talk for someone who has one of the biggest recording contracts ever BUT one that is dependent on his attaining an extremely high level of record sales. I've always had a soft spot for Robbie - I still reckon he's one of the best performers I've ever seen live.
Fat Waster doesn't deserve his prize
Not that I think I'm a more deserving person but what a waste to give this fatty such a brilliant prize when he can't use it. I know it doesn't have an engine but I bet I can make better vroom-vroom noises than him.
Pearl Dream Kit
Nice little bit of interactive flash from Pearl that lets you build your own dream drum kit (if you like Pearl drums that is). Build your kit, play it & then buy it online.
The Iron Maidens
Ever wondered what 80's metal band would have looked like if they were born women? Find out by going to see The Iron Maidens: World's Only Female Tribute to Iron Maiden (not really that surprising really!).
Check out the video & audio clips for a truly frightening experience.
The Willybrush
Yup, the Willybrush does exactly what it says on the tin. (except it doesn't come in a tin - it comes in an attractive carved wooden case).
The instructions are a must-read.

GeoURL
I've added this site to the new GeoURL service which is a cool idea. You enter the longitude & latitude of where you're based and it shows you other sites based near you. Have a look by who's near me by clicking here -->

Google Search: Wayne Hussey
Found by ntk.net - The top search for goth-meister Wayne hussey on google is for a toilet roll cosy - which probably says a lot about the state of Goths today.
Sisters play Hometown gig
Just as a Public Service Announcement for you goths out there (& Sarah!) - the sisters of Mercy are playing the Blank Canvas in Leeds (near Granary wharf) at the end of April. Tickets went on sale today.
Back to the Silliness
Ok, sorry for the previous rant.
To lighten the mood again, here's a short flash movie about your desktop's icon wars - I guess this is what happens when you're at work - might explain why my desktop is always is a complete mess.
Bit of politics
I apologise for the following bit of political soapboxing as it's not something I tend to encourage on this site but, it's my site so tough.
Stand.org.uk have a simple form of their site that you can use to mail the government about the current plans for identity cards in the UK. For the last few months, the government have been claiming that the UK population is overwhelmingly in support of the introduction of identity cards. Guess what, they're not. This has been proved by this site who have been counting the number of people who have submitted responses to the government in favour & against. Your opinions DO count on this matter - from the NTK.net newsletter;
"At time of writing, with over 4000 new responses in one week, we'd estimate it's now something like 80% anti, 20% pro. David Blunkett, who was tipped to announce growing public support for the project at a conference on Wednesday, instead talked of cabinet splits, and "not wanting a revolution" over the proposals."
See, you can make a difference.
