Realistic Internet Simulator
Rob from B3ta has made a cool game based on the typical Internet Users' surfing experience.

Symantec Security Response Warning
Well, hot on the tail of news that blogger was hacked (that's how I publish this site BTW), comes news of a particularly sh1tty marketing scam/virus. I can just see the marketing dept of friendsgreetings.com rubbing their hands with glee that they're so smart as no-one else has ever thought of doingthis lame idea. Well, newsflash to them - Loads of people have thought of doing it before but decided not to create a virus as a marketing tool as it's a sick, lame-ass thing to do. Ponces.
Earth Erotica
Heather Firth takes photgraphs of geological formations that look like knobs, fannies & tits. I guess we all need a hobby.
Buy Bush a PlayStation 2 This makes a lot of sense;
Dear Mr. President:
I represent a small consortium of voters who are deeply concerned over your proposed {or, if appropriate, ongoing} military action in Iraq. Given the amount of public speech and political rhetoric you have devoted to this issue in past months, it seems to us as though you are more interested in playing commando than in fighting an actual war with actual human casualties.

Enclosed with this letter, we have sent you a small gift: one PlayStation 2 game console and one copy of SOCOM: U.S. Navy SEALs. We ask that you accept this gift and use it, rather than the lives of Iraqi civilians and our U.S. servicemen, to fulfill any militaristic fantasies.

Respectfully,

Mikel Reparaz
Chairman

Photocopier Model Number Generator
Ok, now this link is not funny or clever, it's just odd. Type in your name & it tells you what model of photocopier you are (or have? or want to be? I dunno!). Actually it's rather lame but hey! at least you know they'll be better links tomorrow!
New job Opportunity
Doesn't look like there are many requirements for this job vacancy but I still don't think they'll get many applications! Mind you the pay ain't too bad but even the work address is funny
AtomFilms - Gone Bad These are superb! I apologise for those of lesser bandwidths but I think even on a 56k these are still worth checking out. Two, 6 minute CGI animations (although I kept forgetting it was all computer generated!) that form two seperate stories in what I hope will be a long series of Zombie features. Gone Bad: Episode 1 features a jaded priest & a tennis playing zombie whilst Episode 2 (my favourite) features a fisherman who catches more than he expected. It also features the best underwater dancing zombie I've ever seen. (thanks to Kaye for this)

Breaking News!
And now, this breaking news report on Columns: something. This really tells it like it is!
Graaaagh! Eat my brain. No, I don't know why either. It just seemed like a good idea.
Daily Telegraph Braile Project
Joe Magee used to work for the Daily Telegraph doing illustrations. That is until they realised that the dots in the images were actually braile and said rather rude things. It's amazing how long he got away with it for.
The case of the 40,000 coat hangers & one genius
If you read nothing else today (apart from this blog obviously), then it must be this story as reported by the Independent newspaper of an on-going case of theft of 40,000 coat hangers from hotels. The transcripts from the case are hilarious & you can see that the judge is having fun too. part one is here and part two is here. Read them both.
Sample quote;
Counsel: Now, Mr Chrysler – for let us assume that that is your name – you are accused of purloining in excess of 40,000 hotel coat hangers.
Chrysler: I am.
Counsel: Can you explain how this came about?
Chrysler: Yes. I had 40,000 coats which I needed to hang up.
Fantastic Case mod
I mknow this is a geeky link but I think none geeks will appreciate it too. It's a pc case mod that looks amazing - it uses the shuttle case that I've mentioned before & an LCD screen built in.
Nice flash movies
Sorry for the lack of posts yesterday - was in meetings all day & had no time to find any good stuff myself and no-one sent me anything worthwhile (which doesn't mean you shouldn't keep sending me stuff)
Anyway, here's the video for the Flaming Lips' 'Yoshimi battles the Pink Robots and damn fine it is too.

How to Dance Gothic
Especially for Sarah & Paddy - How to Dance Gothic which reminds me to remind you all to go to the Royal Park Pub in LS6, Leeds on Nov 2nd to see the Sisters of Murphy (BTW, nice shorts Paddy!)
This House believes that "the free music mentality is a threat to the future of music."
Wish I 'd done better in my A-Levels so that I could attend thisdebate at Oxford Uni. Chuck D (Public Enemy) vs. Bruce Dickinson (Iron Maiden) should be good for a laugh but best of all is that Hillary Rosen of the Rec Ind ASS of America will be making a rare trip to this country to have eggs thrown at her. Wish I was there. Wonder if anyone will release it as an mp3?
LEG0DEATH: A Museum of Horrors
If you've ever visited the London Dungeon or anychamber of horros then you probably haven;t felt the urge to recreate what you saw in Ledo . Unlike the person who created the LegoDeath Museum of Horrors.
Celery + Gravity = Art
Welcome to the very Peculiar Art of Mr. Frahm a man to whom celery, gravity & panties have some odd childhood memories no doubt.
Bikini Karate Babes
Not actually checked this out myself yet but couldn't resist the URL - Bikini Karate Babes - it's a Mortal Combat type game featuring babes in bikinis - I'm guessing that the aim is to distract you from noticing how awful the gameplay actually is!
Death of a gamer
I've seen two reports in the press recently about computer gamers dying after marathon gaming sessions - I think this guy's gravestone shows a slightly more humorous attitude though!
Off with their heads!
Kronenbourg have very kindly given us the opportunity to watch celebrities to the guillotine - I took great pleasure in seeing Sophie Ellis-Bextor getting the chop.
When Lovecraft meets a Nigerian email scammer
If you've ever read any H.P.Lovecraft then you'll love this reverse scam that an American pulled on one of the many Nigerian email scammers.

The Horror, the Horror!
Not gonna say much else about this but I've had my hair cut!
